A View from the Middle

Ignore the beautiful / because it’s not true
Ignore the foul / because its truth is painful

Embrace the paradox of focus and ignore
Divide not to conquer / but to understand the parts

Ignore the heart that is corrupted
Let your heart be calm and bright

Walk this path / each step a falling
And then a rise / as you move forward

Stop reading this poem / go for a walk
Let the thoughts come / let them go

This poem was written to the prompt to write a view poem at Poetic Asides.
