Some Matches

some matches burn out
igniting nothing
but themselves

some matches burn
your fingers

some matches
kindle a flame

some flames burn out

some flames last a while
and then burn out
those hurt too

some flames
become a fire
that never burns out

to find your flame
you have to strike
some matches
