Full Moon

You are full again
full of life
full of hope
for the future

Your glow warms me
at night
in the morning

At noon
you may be gone
but I think
of your light

At night again
you are back
and my hands
are on your full belly

This poem was written in response to the 2012 November PAD Challenge: Day 2 prompt at Poetic Asides.

  1. Today’s challenge on Poetic Asides was to write a poem that was opposite to another written this month. At first this presented a problem, because I could think of no opposites, then I thought of the gathering prompt and came up with separate… Hence the following poem.
