Some renovation-
wood beams that can breathe easy
no clothes for them now
/ / /
This poem was written in response to the renovation prompt at Haiku Heights.
It just so happens that a construction company is renovating a house half a block from the school where I teach. My son and I pass it twice a day.
Beautiful. I especially like the last line. Nicely done!

New or old beams? Just think of the stories the wood could tell if it could talk. Nice!

if i were a wood beam, yes, that is exactly how i would have felt….no weights, no burdens…carefree, naked…so, yes, renovation means just that š
